Althea

Althea stems from the idea that a seat can evolve alongside the person using it. Rather than a static object, it adapts naturally to different ways of experiencing a space and to the needs of each moment. The reclining backrest allows the configuration to be transformed with a simple gesture. When positioned at the centre, it creates two opposing seats, encouraging interaction and connection. When tilted, the seat opens up, changing the way it supports the body and inviting a more intimate and relaxed experience. The transformation affects not only the form of the piece, but also the experience it offers. Althea invites users to choose how they inhabit the space, creating a dynamic relationship between object, person and environment. Soft volumes and an essential structure strike a balance between comfort and visual lightness, resulting in a seat that can evolve without losing its identity. W 95 cm × D 130 cm × H 80 cm
