These Terms and Conditions govern access, navigation and use of the website www.parallelismi.it as well as the purchase of products marketed through the site by Parallelismi Srl, with registered office in Via degli Ausoni 1, Rome, C.F./P. VAT 18582351005, registered in the Company Registry of Rome, e-mail [email protected], PEC [email protected], telephone 0684242486, hereinafter referred to as “Parallelismi”, “Seller”, “we” or “our”. The person who uses the site is defined as the "User". The person who purchases products via the site is defined as the "Customer". If the Customer purchases for purposes unrelated to his entrepreneurial, commercial, artisanal or professional activity, he is qualified as a "Consumer" pursuant to Legislative Decree 206/2005 ("Consumer Code").
1. Scope of application
These Terms and Conditions apply: • Navigation, consultation and use of the Parallelismi site. • The creation and management of any customer account. • To the presentation, forwarding, acceptance and execution of purchase orders placed via the site. • To the relationships between Parallelismi and the Customer relating to the products purchased through the site. The conditions applicable to each order are those published on the site at the time the order is sent by the Customer. For purchases made by companies, professionals, architects, interior designers, retailers, trade customers, contract customers or individuals acting in the exercise of their own business, specific conditions contained in estimates, offers, commercial agreements or order confirmations may apply. In case of conflict, these specific conditions prevail over these Terms and Conditions limited to the order or relationship to which they refer.
2. Requirements for placing an order
To purchase through the site the Customer declares to: • Be at least 18 years of age. • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. • Provide complete, truthful, updated and correct data. • Make purchases for lawful purposes. • Do not use the site or the products purchased for fraudulent, illicit or contrary to third party rights purposes. Parallelismi reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel orders that appear fraudulent, anomalous, made through improper use of the site, intended for unauthorized resale or otherwise in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Products, renderings and commercial information
Parallelismi presents its products through descriptions, technical data sheets, renderings, digital images, any photographs, drawings, samples, settings and information materials. Unless otherwise indicated, the images published on the site constitute renderings and digital representations for illustrative purposes and not photographs of the individual product that will be delivered to the Customer. Parallelismi adopts reasonable measures to ensure that renderings, descriptions and information materials faithfully represent the design, configuration, proportions, essential characteristics and intended use of the products. However, the Customer acknowledges that the final rendering of the physical product may present slight differences compared to the rendering, due to: • Nature, grain, porosity, texture and shade of natural materials. • Production processes, craftsmanship and finishes performed manually. • Variations between batches of materials, coatings, stones, woods, metals, fabrics or other components. • Effect of natural or artificial light on the appearance of materials and surfaces. • Display differences due to screen, browser, color settings and device used by the Customer. • Reasonable production and technical tolerances, where compatible with the type and intended use of the product. The variations indicated above do not constitute a lack of conformity when they do not affect the essential characteristics, the overall design, the functionality, the safety, the declared dimensions or the contractually promised quality of the product. The setting images may show accessories, complements, decorative objects, works, textiles, lighting or other elements not included in the purchased product, unless otherwise indicated in the relevant product sheet. When available, Parallelismi advises the Customer to request or view physical samples of materials and finishes before ordering, in particular for products made to measure, clearly personalized or intended for interior design projects. In case of discrepancy between a rendering or an image and the written description reported in the product sheet, in the quote or in the order confirmation (materials, finishes, measurements, configuration, components included), the written description prevails. The Consumer's rights provided for by the applicable legislation remain unaffected, including the legal guarantee of conformity.
3-bis. Italian artisan production and handwork
All Parallelismi products are made in Italy by Italian artisans and are handcrafted, in whole or in part, according to artisanal techniques. Each piece is therefore unique and is not the result of industrial mass production. Due to the very nature of manual processing, the Customer recognizes that each product may present slight differences compared to the rendering, the product sheet, the samples and other examples of the same model, including: • Slight surface irregularities, processing marks, traces of tools, brushstrokes, brushing or hammering typical of handwork. • Differences in shades, grain, knots, stains, inclusions, porosity and design of natural materials (wood, stone, marble, travertine, metal, leather, natural fabrics, ceramic, glass). • Slight variations in color and finish between pieces of the same order or between subsequent orders, also due to different batches of materials. • Slight asymmetries, differences in joints, seams, edges and fittings, which do not affect the functionality and solidity of the product. • Natural evolution of materials over time, such as patina, oxidation of metals, variation in tone of wood due to the effect of light, settling of padding or leather. Dimensional tolerance. Unless otherwise indicated in the product sheet or in the order confirmation, the declared dimensions are subject to a tolerance of ±2%, typical of artisan workmanship. For customized products, the applicable tolerance is indicated in the product sheet or in the order confirmation. If the Customer purchases multiple pieces intended to be placed side by side, or intends to integrate a previous purchase at a later time, he is invited to report this before ordering: Parallelismi will do everything reasonably possible to guarantee homogeneity, without prejudice to the fact that two hand-made pieces cannot be identical. The characteristics described above are the hallmark of craftsmanship and do not constitute defects of conformity, as long as they do not compromise the functionality, safety, durability, dimensions declared within the indicated tolerance and the essential characteristics of the product. Before sending the order, the Customer declares, by means of a specific box distinct from the acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, to have been informed of the characteristics of the craftsmanship described in this article and of the applicable dimensional tolerance, and to expressly accept them. This article does not limit in any way the Consumer's rights provided for by the legal guarantee of conformity.
4. Standard, made-to-measure and personalized products
Parallelismi can offer products available in standard configurations, products made to order, made-to-measure products and clearly personalized products. A product does not automatically lose the right of withdrawal simply because it is made after the order, artisanal, limited, expensive or subject to production times. The right of withdrawal can be excluded when the product is tailor-made or clearly personalized according to the individual specifications of the Customer, in the cases provided for by Article 59, point c), of the Consumer Code. By way of example, the following can be considered tailor-made or clearly personalized products: • Furnishings made with non-standard dimensions requested by the Customer. • Products designed or configured for a specific environment or project. • Products with engravings, identifying elements or nominative personalisations. • Products made with materials, finishes, coatings or components requested by the Customer and not present among the options offered on the site. • Bespoke, custom, contract or project pieces developed according to individual requests. The choice between the configuration options proposed on the site, such as materials, finishes, colors and sizes available, does not in itself make the product tailor-made or personalized and does not exclude the right of withdrawal. When the product is excluded from the right of withdrawal, Parallelismi will indicate it clearly in the product sheet, in the cart, in the checkout and/or in the order confirmation. The Customer may be asked to expressly accept the following declaration before purchasing: I declare that I understand that the product is made to measure or clearly personalized according to my specifications and that, pursuant to art. 59, point c), of the Legislative Decree 206/2005, the right of withdrawal is not applicable. Start of production. All Parallelismi products are handmade to order. The production of each product, standard or customized, is started only after receiving full payment for the order. For made-to-measure or personalized products, sizes, materials, finishes, colors and coverings chosen by the Customer and reported in the order summary and order confirmation become an integral part of the contract. The Customer is required to check them carefully before paying. Errors resulting from information provided by the Customer do not constitute a lack of conformity; However, Parallelismi is responsible for any discrepancies in the implementation compared to what was confirmed. Once production of a made-to-measure or personalized product has started, the order cannot be canceled or modified, unless agreed in writing with Parallelismi and without prejudice to the rights recognized by law. For standard products, the Consumer's right of withdrawal provided for in article 11 remains unaffected. In any case, the Customer's rights under the legal guarantee of conformity remain unaffected.
5. Prices, taxes and additional costs
All prices indicated on the site are expressed in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise specified. Before placing the order, the Customer will see the total price of the products, any shipping, delivery, assembly, insurance, white glove services, special packaging or other applicable additional costs. For shipments outside the European Union, any customs duties, local taxes, customs clearance costs or other charges imposed by the authorities of the country of destination, if applicable, remain the responsibility of the Customer, unless otherwise expressly indicated. Parallelismi may change the prices of the products at any time before sending the order. The modification does not affect orders already accepted, except for material, technical or manifest errors in the price or description of the product.
6. Order and conclusion of the contract
Sending the order through the site constitutes a purchase proposal by the Customer. Before sending the order, the Customer must be able to check and correct any errors relating to the data entered, the products selected, the quantities, the configuration options, the delivery address and the payment method. After sending the order, Parallelismi will send a communication of receipt to the e-mail address indicated by the Customer. This communication acknowledges receipt and processing of the order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance of the order. The sales contract is considered concluded when Parallelismi sends the Customer an express order confirmation or an equivalent communication of acceptance of the order. Parallelismi may not accept an order, in whole or in part, if: • The product is not available. • There are obvious errors in price, description or configuration. • The payment is not authorized or is incomplete. • The order appears fraudulent or intended for unauthorized resale. • It is not possible to deliver to the indicated address. • The Customer does not provide information necessary to correctly execute the order. In case of non-acceptance or cancellation of the order after payment, Parallelismi will communicate the decision to the Customer and will refund any amounts already received without undue delay. The contract is concluded in Italian [and possibly English]. Parallelismi retains a copy of the order and the applicable Terms and Conditions, which the Customer can request at any time from [email protected] [or consult in your account area]. With the order confirmation, the Customer receives via email the summary of the order and a copy of these Terms and Conditions in PDF format, which constitute confirmation of the contract on a durable medium pursuant to art. 51, paragraph 7, of the Consumer Code.
7. Payments
Available payment methods are indicated during the purchase process. For all products, standard and custom-made, full payment of the price and any additional costs (shipping, delivery, additional services) is required at the time of ordering. No deposits or instalment payments are provided for, unless otherwise agreed in writing for trade, contract or project orders. As each product is handmade to order, production only begins after payment in full has been received. In case of payment by bank transfer, production times start from the date of actual credit. The order can only be processed after actual authorization or receipt of the due payment. If the Customer requests a change to the order after its confirmation, Parallelismi will evaluate the feasibility of the request. Changes to materials, finishes, sizes, coverings, address, access to the delivery location or services requested may result in price changes, additional costs and changes to delivery times.
8. Production and delivery times
Since all Parallelismi products are handmade to order by Italian artisans, the delivery time is 60 days, unless a different deadline is indicated in the product sheet or in the order confirmation. The 60-day period starts from the date of receipt of full payment for the order (in the case of bank transfer, from the date of actual credit) and includes artisanal production, packaging and transport. The deadline is communicated to the Customer before completing the order, in the product sheet and in the checkout, and reported in the order confirmation. By sending the order the Customer expressly accepts this deadline, in derogation of the 30 day deadline provided for in the absence of agreement by Article 61 of the Consumer Code. The deadline can be extended for the time strictly necessary only in the following cases: • Delay in the communication by the Customer of information necessary for production or delivery (measurements, finishes, address, access information). • Changes to the order requested by the Customer and accepted by Parallelismi. • Impossibility to deliver for reasons attributable to the Customer, as provided for in article 10. • Force majeure events, as provided for in article 20. Parallelismi will promptly inform the Customer of any possible delay, indicating the new expected delivery date. If Parallelismi does not deliver within the agreed deadline, the Consumer can invite it to deliver within an appropriate additional deadline; if this additional deadline is also not met, the Consumer has the right to terminate the contract and obtain a refund of the amount paid, without undue delay, in addition to the other rights provided by law.
9. Shipping, delivery and passing of risk
The methods, costs and available delivery areas are indicated on the site, in the checkout, in the quote or in the order confirmation. Unless otherwise indicated, standard delivery takes place at street level. Floor delivery, assembly, placement in the room, packaging removal and white glove delivery services are available on request, in the areas served, with an additional cost indicated before completing the order. The Customer is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the delivery address, telephone number, logistical information and access instructions provided. The Customer must report any limitations before delivery, such as: • ZTL, pedestrian areas, condominium permits or restrictions. • Availability and size of elevators. • Ramps, stairs, landings, corridors and access points. • Difficulty parking or loading/unloading. • Need for special platforms, lifts or services. • Presence of custodians, concierge, time slots or mandatory reservations. For deliveries with floor service, assembly or white glove, the Customer must ensure that the space is free, accessible, clean and suitable to receive the product. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery personnel are not required to move existing furniture or objects, nor to carry out construction, electrical, plumbing or environmental adaptation work. In sales to consumers, the risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the Customer when the Customer or a third party designated by him, other than the carrier, physically acquires possession of the product. An exception is made in the case in which the Customer has independently chosen a carrier not offered by Parallelismi. Upon delivery, the Customer is invited to check the condition of the packages and immediately report any visible damage to the carrier, placing a specific reserve on the transport document and documenting the incident with photographs. A rapid report allows for more effective management of the complaint with the carrier, but does not limit the mandatory rights of the Consumer, including those deriving from the legal guarantee of conformity.
10. Non-delivery, storage and additional costs
If delivery cannot be made for reasons attributable to the Customer, including incorrect address, absence of the recipient, incomplete logistical information, impossible access, lack of collaboration, inability to place the product, Parallelismi may charge the Customer the reasonable and documentable costs incurred for storage, storage, redelivery, additional transport, return of the goods or additional logistics services. Before the application of storage costs or further expenses, Parallelismi will contact the Customer to agree, where possible, a new delivery method or date. The Customer cannot invoke access difficulties, insufficient dimensions of doors, stairs or elevators, unavailability of the space or failure to prepare the environment as a reason for obtaining withdrawal from a product for which the right of withdrawal is excluded by law.
11. Right of withdrawal
If the Customer is a Consumer and purchases a standard product through the site, he can exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery, without having to provide any reason. The conditions, exceptions, methods for exercising the withdrawal, responsibilities relating to the decrease in value of the products and the reimbursement procedures are governed by the Parallelismi Return, Withdrawal and Refund Policy, which constitutes an integral part of these Terms and Conditions. The direct costs of return are borne by the Consumer. Since the products, due to their nature and size, cannot be returned by post, the estimated cost of the return is approximately € [amount] [or: it is indicated in the product sheet]. For products made to measure or clearly personalized, the right of withdrawal is excluded in the cases provided for by Article 59 of the Consumer Code and indicated before completing the order.
12. Legal guarantee of conformity
Products sold to consumers are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code. The legal guarantee covers defects in conformity existing at the time of delivery and has a duration of 24 months from delivery of the goods, as required by applicable legislation. In the event of a lack of conformity, the Consumer has the right to the remedies provided by law, including, in applicable cases, the restoration of conformity by repair or replacement, without charge, or the reduction of the price or the termination of the contract. The Consumer is required to report the lack of conformity within two months of discovery, in accordance with the Consumer Code. The action aimed at asserting defects not maliciously concealed by the Seller is barred, in any case, within 26 months of delivery of the goods. For Customers who do not qualify as Consumers, the guarantee provided for by the Civil Code applies: defects must be reported within 8 days of discovery and the action is barred within one year of delivery (art. 1495 of the Civil Code), unless different conditions are agreed in writing. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper use, neglect, failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions, prolonged exposure to atmospheric agents, direct sun, sources of heat or humidity not suitable for the product, interventions or repairs carried out by unauthorized third parties, nor the natural evolution of the materials described in article 3-bis. To request assistance, the Customer must contact Parallelismi at [email protected], indicating the order number, description of the problem, photographs and any further information useful for evaluating the case. The variations inherent in natural materials, artisanal products and hand-made finishes do not constitute defects of conformity when they fall within the characteristics declared and reasonably expected for the type of product. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes the mandatory rights recognized to the Consumer by law.
13. Installation and use of the products
Unless Parallelismi has expressly included and confirmed an installation, assembly or wiring service, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that these activities are carried out by qualified personnel, in compliance with the product instructions, safety regulations and applicable building, electrical or technical regulations. For lighting products, systems, elements fixed to the wall, suspended furniture or products that require technical connections, the Customer must make use of qualified professionals when required by law. Parallelismi is not liable for damages resulting from installation, assembly, wiring, modification, use or maintenance that do not comply with the instructions provided, except in the case of willful misconduct, gross negligence or non-excludable liability under the law.

16. Customer Account
If the site allows the creation of an account, the User is responsible for the confidentiality of their access credentials and the activities carried out through their account. The User must provide correct and updated information and must promptly notify Parallelismi of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of account security. Parallelismi may suspend, limit or close an account in case of violation of these Terms and Conditions, suspected fraud, improper use or need to protect the safety of the site and other users.
17. Third Party Sites and Services
The site may contain links to websites, services, payment platforms, social networks or content managed by third parties. Parallelismi does not control these external resources and is not responsible for their contents, availability, contractual conditions, commercial practices, privacy policies or data processing methods. 18. Privacy and communications
The processing of personal data is governed by Parallelismi's Privacy Policy, available on the site. The communications necessary for managing the order, including confirmation, updates, delivery, assistance, invoicing and management of returns or complaints, may be sent via e-mail, telephone, SMS or other address provided by the Customer. Marketing communications will be sent only in the cases and in the manner provided for by the applicable legislation and the preferences expressed by the Customer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parallelismi is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the site, unless such damages are caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence or in cases where liability cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes the liability of Parallelismi in cases where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted by law, nor does it prejudice the mandatory rights recognized to the Consumer by the applicable legislation.
20. Force majeure
Parallelismi is not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, unavailability or delays in the supply of materials, unavailability of artisans or suppliers, strikes, transport interruptions, fires, floods, exceptional weather events, natural disasters, epidemics, wars, terrorist acts, measures by the authorities, logistical blockages or infrastructure failures. In such cases, Parallelismi will inform the Customer and take reasonable measures to find a solution, update the timing or, when necessary, manage any refund according to applicable law.
21. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
Parallelismi may update or modify these Terms and Conditions for legal, technical, organizational, commercial or service evolution reasons. The updated version will be published on the site with indication of the date of the last update. The changes do not apply retroactively to orders already concluded, unless they are necessary to fulfill legal obligations or are expressly accepted by the Customer.
22. Applicable law and competent court
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. If the Customer is a Consumer resident or domiciled in Italy, the judge of the place of residence or domicile of the Consumer, where located in Italian territory, has mandatory jurisdiction for disputes relating to the application of consumer regulations. If the Consumer resides in another member state of the European Union, the choice of Italian law does not deprive him of the protection ensured by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of habitual residence. The judge of the place of residence or domicile of the Consumer is competent for disputes. For disputes with Customers who do not qualify as Consumers, the Court of Rome has exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in writing. To resolve disputes, the Consumer may resort to the alternative resolution procedures provided for in the Articles 141 and following of the Consumer Code, including mediation with an organization registered in the register kept by the Ministry of Justice.
